After purchasing and receiving Darel, a dog recently sold, we immediately called our trainer in Europe and said he is perfect. Perfect with other animals and people, confident in every situation, easy to handle, and INCREDIBLE in protection! A few days had passed, and we received a call that we had the opportunity to buy his brother (litter mate) Drago. We had high expectations after receiving Darel. Drago not only met but exceeded those expectations.
Drago is kind, sweet, loving and playful. He loves to get the zoomies in the yard, sit in your lap, play ball, play with other dogs, but overall, he loves to be with you. His kind personality blends into handling him in both obedience and protection. He naturally has a very obedient personality and often offers behaviors before you can even ask. Once bonded he is very in-tune with you and what you expect of him, he quickly learns your routine and stays within those boundaries.
What initially intrigued us about Darel, and what led us to Drago was not solely because they are great with kids, other dogs people or any situation we put them in, it's their natural ability to be so calm in almost every situation and the ability to change gears to immediately go to full power in protection (It's important to note all of our dogs have the ability to be calm and turn on in calm situations, but this normally comes with training). When given the command to bark at a threat, it would be insulting to call what Drago does barking, he really is screaming and what seems to be him releasing every ounce of energy he has in his body to deter a potential threat. While biting, he constantly pushes the decoy and bites deeper and deeper, overpowering his aggressor. His natural ability is that of a professional athlete, making everything he does look easy as if he has trained every day of his life for this moment.
