At CPI, we have helped set the standard for personal protection dogs that integrate into family life while providing complete, functional security. Since 1996, thousands of CPI dogs have been sold and personally delivered to families around the world. Our commitment to the work, and to every client relationship, has never stopped.
CPI dogs are prepared for complete off-leash control in the environments where real life happens. They are expected to respond to a single command spoken in a pleasant tone, whether the setting is a quiet family gathering, a busy public place, or a challenging situation.
Protection is developed with the same depth and practicality. CPI dogs learn advanced engagement skills, handler-directed response, and controlled disengagement. Exercises such as our Secure command prepare the dog to respond under direction when a credible threat reaches the handler or family. The goal is functional security that gives the client confidence and peace of mind.
Outside of protection, the dog must be an exceptional family companion. CPI dogs are expected to show affection, patience, and appropriate behavior around children, guests, animals, travel, and the ordinary rhythm of a household. The dog should move naturally between companion and protector without creating tension in the home.
