CPI Training For Your Dog
The level of performance, and specifically off-leash control, our clients enjoy with their dogs is probably what earns us the most referrals. It is truly enjoyable to see a dog who is happy, free-spirited with what the French would say have a certain “joie de vivre” (enjoyment of life). That is what this program delivers.
Off-Leash Control
As a stand alone program for pets sent to us the training program includes all of the traditional obedience exercises (Heel, Sit, Sit Stay, Sit-in-Motion, Down, Down Stay, Down-in-Motion, Recall), some unique to CPI (Naspo), the use of both formal as well as informal commands (essential for long-term functional results), and a approach to training that will actually bring out your dog’s personality.
Unwanted Behaviors
Obedience Complete includes addressing everything from undesirable behaviors like your dog jumping on guests to the most extreme behavioral problems. Extreme dog aggression? Not a problem. Housebreaking issues as an adult dog? Easily addressed. Chewing shoes, rugs or furniture? Again, able to be resolved.
Manners
Everyday manners can range from teaching dogs how to play, and when to play. This is extremely important for dogs with high play drive (strong desire for toys) in a home with young children. In some homes manners may include learning not to go into flower gardens, in other it may be not walking through doorways to the outside without being given a command.
Pleasantly Surprising
What most owners are surprised to learn is that they don’t have to stop treating their pets as members of the family. Nor do they have to think in terms of being the “Alpha”, and thereby asserting authority over their dog in every aspect of everyday life. Certainly speaking to their dog in a pleasant tone rather then assertively commanding their dog is always surprising. It usually takes a bit of coaching to get owners to change the way they communicate. In the end, to have a dog obey the first time yet only need to use a pleasant tone to communicate is enjoyable for both dog and owner.

Obedience and Protection Training Combined
All of CPI’s protection programs starting with Protection Dog Basics I, II and III, through our more advanced Executive Protection Dog, Elite Family Guardian and Elite Family and Estate Protection Dog programs all include Obedience Complete.
Individual Handling Instruction
Once your dog has completed our Obedience Complete program one of our senior staff will provide handling instruction in all aspects of obedience, how to maintain these results long-term with surprisingly minimum effort and will end the instruction with you taking your dog off-leash for a walk in public while they observe from a distance.
This one-day of instruction is included in the program. The instruction is conducted on-site (your home), and is offered to clients both throughout the United States as well as abroad.
Making a List and Training Questionnaire
For owners interested in our Obedience Complete program we recommend as a first step that you make a list of behavioral problems, or desirable behaviors that your dog needs to change. We also recommend adding to this list any customized training such as specific manners you would like your dog to learn. Then incorporate this information into our Training Questionnaire that you will need to fill out for your dog’s entry into the program.
Our staff will review the questionnaire with you to insure everything is addressed while your dog is with us.

CPI Fully Trained Dogs For Sale
The fully trained dogs who we offer for sale are all trained in our more advanced programs including Executive Protection Dog, Elite Family Guardian and Elite Family and Estate Protection Dog programs. You may purchase one of our imported adults (at the bottom of the Dogs For Sale page) and have him or her trained in our Obedience Complete by CPI program.
