Caymus Price: $65,000.00
Caymus joins the ranks of what have been the two most beautiful Belgian Malinois we have ever seen: Togo and Barko (see photos at bottom of page). Now there are three. We think this beauty that the three share is a combination of a few things. First of all their color. Their pronounced black masks in contrast to their rich red pigment is most striking. While they have excellent structure, they also have a unique style. The only way we know to describe it is "refined elegance". As I have said about Togo and Barko, a work of art such as Caymus belongs back in Paris at the Louvre! Caymus was born "Biber du Calvaire aux Acacias" at one of France's most prestigious kennels. He was raised in the city of Lille in the north of France. His owner was a baker by day, and a musician by night. Caymus was able to go with him to work everyday, socializing with people as they came in and out of the bakery. There he developed a fan club of people who would bring their friends into the bakery just to introduce them to Caymus. When we arrived at the bakery to see Caymus, but still across the street, we too became fans. We saw Caymus walking by himself out of the bakery. He came out to the edge of the sidewalk, looked down the street to the left, then to the right and turned around to go back inside. There was just a human like quality to the way he did it. Almost like a social awareness combined with idle curiosity. Dany thought he looked like he was looking for someone to share the gossip of the day! It's safe to say Caymus has personality. Caymus is extremely calm in everyday life. He can calmly lay around for hours where ever his owner happens to be. Or by himself for that matter. Where many Belgian Malinois are needy when it comes to affection, not so with Caymus. For sure Caymus is affectionate, and very cat-like with his affection (common with Belgian Malinois), however it is toned down compared to most. In the protection phase of most European dog sports like Schutzhund the only skill required of the dog is biting. In the French, Belgian and Mondio Ring Sports dogs learn not only how to bite but also how to fight the decoy. Normally most dogs fight in order to bite. The biting being the goal and source of pleasure. Caymus was trained with his owner at the local French RIng club. This club places great emphasis on fighting skills. Specifically, not just technique which is normally taught. This club works to develop the desire to fight a decoy. Although the actual fighting skills learned are only for sport, Caymus' desire to fight is very pronounced. As Caymus moves through our Elite Family and Estate Protection Dog program, this desire to fight only continues to increase. We are known for selling extraordinary dogs. That's our business. Caymus is not just extraordinary, he's unique in some very interesting ways.
. . . dare we say Caymus is the more beautiful of the three???
